Duck Harbor Christmas Miricle
Joel’s dog Lexie broke free on a walk down Duck Harbor Road. Lexie is a 18 month old beagle/pug mix and like any beagle loves to chase a scent. After little Lexie broke free, Bev quickly got home to get their 4 wheeler to go looking for her. Allen and Joel took to the woods, a 400 acre piece between their house and the horse farm. They all looked until 11pm that night with no luck. They continued the search on Sunday, but by Monday they basically gave up hope. Allen thought either someone picked her up from the road and took her home for them selves or by now the coyote, bear, or even the weather got her. Allen recalls two nights in a row he heard coyote in the woods behind their house. Not to mention the hunters from the White tail gun club have shot 3 bears on the 400 acre piece of property, and saw plenty more. The weather was not in her favor either, we also had a lot of rain, and a 6 inch snow storm that week. So you can imagine the amazement when Allen return home to see Frank, a hunter, walking up the driveway with little Lexie. After 6 nights Lexie was not only alive, but still full of energy without a scratch on her. The most amazing thing is Lexie was still on her long 20 foot leash and when Frank found her she was completely tangled up in some brush, trapped, probably from the very first day.

148TH ANNUAL WAYNE COUNTY FAIR DATES: AUGUST 6 - 14, 2010
For more information: www.waynecountyfair.com

  DAYS TO KEEP IN MIND

Docktails every Saturday at the
access area (weather permitting) Spring @ 4PM
Summer @ 5PM
Fall @ 4PM

To accommodate both water sports activity and the fishing community the Fish and Game Commission has instated a strict no wake rule between 6:00PM and 10:00AM. This gives the fishing enthusiast peek fishing time and still allows ample time to enjoy boating and water sports activity.

Waste Management empties
the dumpster every Friday.

All boats at the community
docks should be out of the water
by Oct. 15 each year so we have adequate time to get the docks
out of the water. Thanks for
your cooperation.
